Joe Tran has published his first paper as first author, co-authored with Prof. Woldegerima: “Singular perturbation analysis of a two-time scale model of vector-borne disease: Zika virus model as a case study”, in Chaos, Solitons & Fractals.
This is an important milestone for Joe. It also reflects the value of supporting undergraduate, MA and MSc students towards first authorship, since a first-author paper early on can make a real difference to later applications for funding and scholarships.
